Snack Attack

Yesterday I was a little under the weather so there were no homemade nutritious meals cooking in our kitchen.  However, being the healthy nut that I am, at least our snacks were healthy!

In the late morning, my daughter and I ate perfectly juicy purple plums.  Our second snack of the day popped up around 4pm.  Again, I was lured by a cuddly creature and the word organic on a box. 

My son has so much fun watching the popcorn bag almost explode, listening to the popping noise, and opening the steaming bag of popcorn.  Popcorn is a whole grain filled with fiber and antioxidant benefits (as long as you don’t douse it in salt and butter).  Get messy!  Have fun!  And eat healthy!
